Join us for a fantastic Road Trip to the Illini/UCLA Football Game in the Rose Bowl
The San Diego Illini Club has made a plan for a chartered bus to the Rose Bowl to see the Illini face off against UCLA. Gametime is 6:00PM.on Friday, November 13. The Alumni Association and Illini Athletics are planning a large pregame tailgate so the bus will likely depart San Diego Mission Valley at about 11am so that fans will be able to attend this event. Bus riders not attending the pregame will be able to stay on the bus, bring a folding chair and sit by the bus, or make other plans such as walking, or visiting nearby.

Bus Cost: Only $77.00 roundtrip. As in previous trips, if we exceed our minimum breakeven (about 40 passengers), we will us the additional funds to provide refeshments during the trip. We will charter a Sundance Stage Lines modern bus. Sundance has been if business almost 50 years in San Diego and has an excellent reputation. They are very accomadating to work with. The bus has a bathroom, comfortable seating andmany additonal amenities.

Game Ticket: There will be plenty of game tickets available for the game. The Rose Bowl seats about 100,000, and UCLA games generally have only about half of those seats filled. BUT, tickets are already on sale so we want to get tickets before the better seats are all gone! Now the eally Great News! By making a group ticket purchase, we will be able to get about $20 off the retail prices and we will pass this savings on to our bus riders. Right now, seats about 20 rows up from the portal and facing the 30-yard line at an angle, are $95 and we can get the for $75. So we want to move quickly. For now, we are selling only bus tickets, but when we have sold enough to assure the bus, we will make ticket options available. If you want to not purchase game tickets through the Club, that is your option.
Obviously we want to purchase game tickets while good options are available, so reserve your bus tickets NOW! We are hoping to confirm the bus trip viability whithin the next few weeks. If we do not get enough bus seats sold, we will refund all of bus payments.
