Scholarship Donations

The Illini Club of San Diego County awards scholarships to qualified students at the Chez Veterans Center which is part of the College of Applied Health Sciences.  These are military veterans who have served their country and are now enrolled at the University of Illinois pursuing their education.  First preference is to those veterans with a combat connected disability.  Secondary preference is to veterans with current or previous ties to Southern California.  Typical scholarships have been in the range of $1,000 to $2,000 each.

The Club's scholarship program is funded by donations from Club members and certain Club events throughout the year.  Your donations are greatly appreciated and will help worthy Veterans enjoy the excellent education at the University of Illinois that we as Alumni Club members received ourselves.

Donors will receive an official tax receipt for their gifts to the University of Illinois. Gifts will be credited to the donor's record in the University, Foundation and Alumni Association donor database for recognition and acknowledgment of their total support to the University and its students. Donors can be assured their transactions will be handled securely with the upmost attention to ensuring their gifts will be spent for the scholarships they are supporting.
